I wrote an <a href=\"http:\/\/www.villagenewsonline.com\/node\/13895\" title=\"Virginia State University breaks ground on new Multipurpose Center\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">article<\/a> for the local paper. The 165,000 sf center will change the face of the small community at the furthest corner of the county. This will offer a destination where currently there is none.<\/p>\n<p>Here are the architect&#8217;s renderings of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.clarknexsen.com\/projects\/multipurpose-center\/\" title=\"VSU multipurpose rendering\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">project<\/a> and of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.clarknexsen.com\/projects\/comprehensive-housing-master-plan\/\" title=\"VSU master plan\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">master plan<\/a><\/p>\n<p>In addition to the multipurpose center, VSU is planning a mixed use <a href=\"http:\/\/progress-index.com\/news\/plan-for-mixed-use-development-in-ettrick-moves-through-planning-commission-1.1603803\" title=\"VSU plan-for-mixed-use-development\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">development project<\/a> across from the multipurpose center.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Virginia State University broke ground on a new multipurpose center last week.
